Here we are preparing for our long awaited trip to Morocco and what do I go and do? I got a tiny little cut in my finger that rapidly mushroomed into a swollen, painful infection. IV therapy and oral antibiotics are working hard to clear it up in time for our journey but not having full use of my hand is seriously crimping my style.
As I haven't blogged for awhile I thought some practice might be wise.

Raynaud diary
Raynauds
2015
I was experiencing cold hands and feet in the winter of 2015 but didn't think much about it.
2016
I progressed to wearing gloves more. We went to Disney land in February and the weather was wet and cold the day we went to Lego land. My ring finger left hand went white and numb. It took about 1/2 hour to come right again.
In June I saw an orthopedic surgeon about my bunions. He couldn't find much of a pulse in the top of my feet and sent me in to a rheumatologist. He diagnosed Raynauds and sent me in to a vascular surgeon who suspected Sjogrens disease . As Roy and I didn't feel I actually had the symptoms we were unimpressed (an depressed as it is pretty debilitating ).
I saw our family doctor who did a blood test for Sjogrens and it came back negative. However he said that the results weren't always accurate.
Over the summer I began to notice temperature changes more particularly to my toes when I went in the pool, though there wasn't a huge chage in temperature between the air and the water.
November 2 a cold spell has hit. I had a stressful incident while changing lanes and bumped a car in the lane next to me. No damage but I was extremely upset. Did one or both of these thing trigger the raynauds that has followed?
Since that time my fingers become icy cold for seemingly no reason.it feels lik dry ice has been injected into them. It doesn't matter what I am doing. Inside or out, active or not.
Wednesday night and Thursday day were good and I was careful to stay warm. Friday was not as good and I had trouble going to sleep because the skin one my left hand felt numb and Tingley. Took Tylenol for arthritis and had some cereal as it upsets my stomach. Fell asleep shortly after.
It is now November 12. I am distressed because my ring finger left hand , joint that has finger nail is painful and tingly. Pressure to the nail is very uncomfortable. The left hand is by far the worst and the ring and middle fingers more.
November 13
This morning my left hand was very tender. It hurt to hold the knife firmly enough to cut my poached egg one toast. I was able to use the rotary cutter okay. I took Tylenol for arthritis about an hour after breakfast and didn't notice a significant change in one hour. Used equine rub and it seems less sore.
